So I heard some rumors that Beijing actually had some Mexican restaurants around town and that a couple of them are actually pretty good. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Mexican. So, last night after spending some time at the Silk Market buying some gifts for Toni, I went with Mike and Andreas and we looked for a place for dinner. After striking out at a Beijing duck place (it’s closed for two months) we passed a nice strip of restaurants down a busy street. To our surprise one of them was called Mexican Wave and another Tim’s Texas BBQ. Patrick is very excited about the possibility of BBQ, which we will definitely have to try. We went on to decide to skip both of those and go to a place called Take 5 restaurant. We ordered nachos (really good), caprese salad, duck and peppered beef. Plus for the first time since I have been here we had beer on tap. It was a fantastic dinner and the menu had pretty much everything. We will be back soon.
